Made by a group of 100 skilled people in a small workshop in Delhi, India. All working there receive Provident Fund, Employee State Insurance, bonuses and medical check ups in addition to statuary wages. The group support 2 schools in the community, and are environmentally aware, supporting Water Day, Aids Awareness Day and World Environment Day. They also make donations to any flood or earthquake victims.

Fitting instruction for the Fair Trade ceramic cord pulls above. As they do not have a cord supplied you can use your existing cord or a new length of cord. The hole on the cord pull is much bigger at the bottom than at the top. Tie a knot or attach a bead to the cord large enough so as not to pass through the top hole but small enough to go through the bottom hole. Feed the cord up through the bottom and then attach to your cord to your existing cord pull fitting as explained below

Attaching your cord to your existing cord pull is simple as most cord switches, such as those connected to lights and showers, have a small connector near the ceiling, which is used to connect your new cord from the cord pull to your existing cord. How to make the connection is obvious when you examine the connector.
